Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 September 2026 · Operator: Aethelsoft (Groove Player)

This Privacy Policy explains how Groove Player (“the App”) handles information when you use the Android / iOS app and related backend services.

1. Summary

Your music files on the device stay local unless you choose Premium cloud backup. We collect account and subscription data needed to sign you in, apply Free / Basic / Premium features, show ads on Free, and (if you opt in) store backups on Cloudflare R2.

2. Information we process

3. How we use information

4. Local music library

Songs stored on your phone or tablet are not uploaded unless you start a backup. Deleting a cloud backup removes data from our cloud storage only; it does not delete files on your device.

5. Sharing

We use processors that help run the App:

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Retention

Account and entitlement data are kept while your account is active. Cloud backups are kept while your Premium (and any add-on) entitlement covers them, subject to our cancel / grace / purge rules. After grace periods, cloud backups may be deleted. You can request account-related deletion by contacting us.

7. Security

Access to backups is tied to your signed-in account. Transport uses HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). Do not use the App if you are under that age.
