Terms of Service
By downloading or using Groove Player (“the App”), you agree to these Terms.
1. The App
Groove Player is a local-first music player. Optional account features include Google sign-in, paid tiers (Basic / Premium), advertising on Free, and Premium cloud backup of music you choose to upload.
2. Your content
You are responsible for the music files you import or back up and for having the rights to use them. We do not claim ownership of your music. Cloud backups are a service convenience, not a guarantee of permanent archival.
3. Accounts
You must keep your sign-in credentials secure. You may sign out at any time. Abuse, fraud, or attempts to bypass entitlements may result in suspension.
4. Subscriptions & add-ons
Basic, Premium, and storage add-ons are billed through Google Play or the App Store. Pricing may vary by region. Cancellations, refunds, and renewals follow the store’s rules. Storage add-ons cancel at period end; if usage exceeds the new quota after that, cloud backups may need trimming (cloud only — not local files).
5. Ads
The Free tier may show a small banner and limited startup video ads. Basic and Premium remove those ads according to your active entitlement.
6. Acceptable use
Do not reverse engineer for abuse, attack our services, or use the App unlawfully. Do not upload malware or content you are not allowed to store.
7. Disclaimer
The App is provided “as is” without warranties of uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aethelsoft is not liable for lost data, including cloud backups, beyond what mandatory consumer law requires.
